As we now have proof of concept from our disruptive technology, we are planning for commercializing our materials and preparing to build a commercial facility. We have several great brand partners, who are committed to bringing our materials to the market together with us, as soon as possible.

This is why we now need more experienced colleagues to ensure our minimum footprint textiles are of maximum quality.

We are recruiting to join us in Jyväskylä a

Yarn Spinning Specialist

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in textiles or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years’ experience in yarn spinning in a commercial (or similar) spinning plant
  • Good knowledge on different spinning procedures, especially ring spinning
  • Fundamental knowledge on carding and drawing process
  • Practical experience in preparation of fiber and spinning
  • Experience in cotton and cotton blend spinning
  • Good knowledge on yarn testing procedure
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivated
  • Enjoy working in a team, is open and receptive to feedback
  • Language: English proficiency, both verbally and written

Tasks:

  • Manages yarn spinning operations
  • Organizes fiber preparation operations like opening, carding, drawing
  • Performs spinning in lab equipment with partners
  • Develops various yarns with partners
  • Monitor lab data and maintain quality standards
  • Organize order placement to partners and follow-up
  • Co-operates with material developer to fulfil the demand and development of quality as per application need
  • Organizes various yarn finishing and analyze results
