Spinnova has appointed Niklas Knuutila, 42, in its technology team as Process Technician as of 8 July, 2019. Niklas joins Spinnova from the chemical company CP Kelco, where he has worked for the past 18 years as an industrial process operator.
He describes himself as a hard-working operator with an eye for detail. On his freetime, Niklas is a “hockey dad” and enjoys outdoor sports all year round.
– I was so impressed by Spinnova’s innovation for the future that I made a big change changing jobs after all these years. As a father, I want to be involved in creating a more sustainable future for my kids, he comments.

Spinnova recently entered the piloting phase in the development of the world’s most sustainable textile fibre, produced without harmful chemicals. We now actively collaborate with brand partners, developing prototypes of commercial products out of the fibre produced in the test facility in Finland.
Spinnova currently employs 18 people, and is in the process of hiring several more.
