Proudly presenting: Our Helsinki Fashion Week designer partners!

Textile development has grown to be an effective way to enable sustainability. Providing companies with natural textile alternatives through which they can determine an ecological approach to their operations from the very ground up. To support this, we are working with Helsinki Fashion Week this year.

We will mentor and provide innovative materials for Helsinki Fashion Weeks’ Digital Designer Residency, where designers KoH T (Japan) and Patrick McDowell (UK) will use the materials in the development of their fashion collections. The Designer Residency will be live-streamed to a global audience, providing Spinnova visibility from a new and broader demographic.

Our Designer Residency partners:

KoH T

Taisuke Kohji, a Japanese fashion designer and founder of KoH T, he works with high-quality, value-added Yonezawa production areas and uses sustainable fabrics to create products from design to production consistently with Japanese technology. Even if it’s a small step, KoH T wants it to be an opportunity to take action, to increase the number of people who support their ideas and choose good clothes. KoH T wants to update this definition of sustainability and contribute to the provision of a sustainable society.

Patrick McDowell

Patrick McDowell, Liverpool born designer, is captivating the fashion industry since graduating from Central Saint Martins with a BA in Womenswear in 2018, Patrick has been turning heads ever since. Patrick gained the support of industry heavyweights, as his final collections quickly gain sponsorship from the British Fashion Council, Swarovski, Burberry, and Oakley to name a few. Sustainability is at the core of Patrick’s practice, as he strives to reinvent luxury through a sustainable mindset. Crafted from reclaimed fabrics, and ethically produced materials, his pieces are designed and made in England with a low carbon footprint.
